We’ve all heard the saying, “If you want it done right you need to do it yourself”. This comes from people who confuse strength with control. Trying to do it all isn’t strength. It often leads to a breakdown of the amount of things you can get done, the true quality of those things, and the joy they bring you while you are getting them done.
What if letting leaning on others made you stronger in a way you didn’t expect? What if you could embrace the fact that things may not be done exactly the way you would do them but allowing space for them to be done in a way that is different and possibly better?
Control is not strength.
Strength comes from softness, being fluid, flexible, adaptable and in harmony instead of opposition. Letting go, leaning on those around you, breathing in and out, embracing the uncertainty and enjoying a new found grace. Leaning into things with curiosity rather than determination. You’ll find a strength in that grace, better than you ever imagined.
