Overuse of Em Dash

Are you guilty?

I am. I tend to use the em dash — well, frequently. Not only in my everyday writing, but also in my screenwriting. I have become increasingly aware of it and now with so much AI out in the world, I have become more aware of it when I read what others write. It has been a natural punctuation choice for me — but with it’s recent increase in usage, I am trying to use it more sparingly.
