I believe that anyone can write a screenplay with time and determination. Writing a good screenplay, one that will get read and possibly optioned or produced, takes practice. I also believe screenwriting should be joyful, not painful. Story Lab will help guide you through a fun writing practice, whether you go at your own pace or in the weekly zoom room group. There is space for you here in Story Lab and you can begin anytime. Emails start going out to paid subscribers on January 6th and the zoom room for Story Lab {Mastermind} will begin as soon as there are 3 screenwriters ready to meet on Monday nights.

Story Lab ($5/month or $50/year)
For writers ready to develop their screenplays at their own pace. Here’s what’s included:
Weekly Lessons & Prompts: Delivered every Tuesday to guide you through crafting a feature-length screenplay. *The first email will be on Monday, January 6th, with following weeks on Tuesdays.
Open Chat: A space to share questions, progress, and encouragement with fellow writers.
Self-Paced Progress: Work through lessons and write on your timeline. You will have access to all the lessons, prompts, and chat as long as you subscribe.
Perfect for those who completed Advent to Story Lab or are already comfortable with screenwriting format.
Story Lab {Mastermind} ($200/month or $2,000/year)
A more immersive experience for committed writers ready to elevate their craft. This small group (limited to six participants) meets weekly in a zoom room to workshop scripts and build individual and collective wisdom.
Here’s what’s included in addition to Story Lab emails:
Weekly Online Meetings: Mondays from 6:30–9:00 PM (via Zoom). Each session includes a mini workshop, reading scripts, giving and receiving peer feedback, and lessons to deepen your skills.
Personalized Feedback: Review up to 10 pages of your screenplay each week.
Hands-On Support: Once your screenplay is complete, we’ll coordinate a live table read with working actors, either in person (Portland area) or via Zoom.
Accountability & Growth: Commit to a daily writing practice, completing 5–10 pages per week.
How to Join: Complete a brief form to share a bit about you and your goals. If there’s space, you’ll receive a subscription link; otherwise, you’ll be added to the waitlist.
