I share your love of real books. I have a few treasured texts from college and travel years. I love to look back at some of the scribblings in the margins or just hold them like old friends. I even have a few books once owned by dear friends now gone. Those are very special. Thanks for prompt.

It depends on the book, but sometimes I use post-its, other time marginalia...or both. I also often enjoy reading how another reader reacted to the book or a particular passage.

How to explain my absolute love of marginalia... When I read a book ... The pieces that stick to my heart... I place post-its and I highlight... I underline and write my thoughts at the time.. I find it hilarious to go back at a future date and reread my notes and wonder.. why was that so important to me at that time?

Sometimes.. I reread and reread and reread the same paragraph in a book as time passes and the paragraph still resonates in my soul... I love that there is a word that describes what I do to the books I love and adore.

Marginalia...

But not marginalized....

Not made smaller but actually made bigger because space was used for my thoughts and feelings....

❤️❤️❤️
